Take a mystical overnight journey to Mount Sinai — the “Mountain of Moses” — sacred to the three Abrahamic faiths and, by tradition, where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Climb through the night with a local Bedouin guide to the summit (2,285 m) for an unforgettable sunrise above the clouds, then descend to visit St. Catherine’s Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to the Chapel of the Burning Bush and Moses’ Well.

Good to know
Availability: alternating days (Sun/Mon, Wed/Thu, Fri/Sat). Reasonable fitness needed — the final third (700 steps) is on foot. It is very cold at the summit, so warm layered clothing is essential.
What to bring: ID/passport plus a photocopy, packed breakfast, comfortable walking shoes, and warm layered clothing.
